A Cross-sector Micromobility Research Roadmap
Research Team: Angela Sanguinetti (lead), Dillon Fitch, Beth Ferguson, and Mollie D’Agostino
UC Campus(es): UC Davis
Problem Statement: Micromobility, including shared bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters, shows potential for improving first- and last-mile connections to public transit, generating economic opportunities, and reducing passenger car VMT and emissions. Despite its promise, the micromobility industry encounters challenges. Addressing these challenges requires research that has not yet been undertaken.
Project Description: This project aims to develop a research agenda through a modified Delphi study involving two online surveys of government, industry, and advocate stakeholders. The research agenda will pinpoint shared and divergent research needs across stakeholder groups, fostering a common understanding to enhance research, policy, and business practices.
Status: In Progress
Budget: $25,351
