Project Summary

Highway expansions can encourage warehouse development and increase truck traffic, worsening air quality in nearby communities. This study examines three case study regions to understand how highway projects influence warehouse development, including induced freight trips and related air pollution. Findings will highlight cumulative impacts on vulnerable populations and inform more equitable transportation and land use planning.
